HAITI
Teams of volunteers from Bridgeway have been on the ground in Haiti since the massage earthquake in January 2010. Through prayer and extended time in country we have developed relationships with several local churches and orphanages in the Carrefour region south of the capital of Port-au-Prince. Missions teams are able to support and show God’s love to the Haitian people through tent-community outreach, prayer walking, doing VBS with children, and encouraging the local pastors as they shepherd their congregations. We’ve partnered with a local trade school that helps prepare students for careers, a medical clinic that is just beginning to treat patients and care for the health needs of their community, and an orphanage who has never before had American teams visit to love on the kids. We also started a Microfinance program in Haiti to help support business owners. To read more about these ministries or see how you can get involved please click on the appropriate link.
