REAL LIFE
It wasn’t easy for a single guy to get connected in a church full of families, but through Journeys, he found his home.
Bridgeway didn’t bring Cris Gilliam to Journeys; Journeys brought Cris Gilliam to Bridgeway. After all, it’s sometimes tough to be single in a church full of families. But as Cris grew to know the men and women who are part of the “fluid and dynamic” ministry he says is always moving, he found himself moving right into the Bridgeway sanctuary—and with plenty of friends his age to sit with. Those friends have become Cris’ family—he has watched the group of 30- and 40-somethings morph into a community of singles focused on friendship, service, and spiritual growth.
Cris Gilliam would for you to join the group at 5:00 p.m. every Sunday in the youth room at Bridgeway. Find him on The City to learn more about his experience with the Journeys ministry, or e-mail the group leaders, Derrick Aguiar, Andrea Hamburg, and Amy Alberg, at .
