Reveille: A Service for our Military Heroes
“Reveille” is a bugle call in the military to get up and begin one’s duty. This is the essence of Reveille, to get up and serve – to quickly and dutifully begin our work. Our model for service comes from Christ’s example of serving us and how these troops have served us and our country.
Reveille serves both our past and present military heroes and their families and believes that the people it serves should be honored. And Reveille is truly honored to serve them.
Military personnel and their families make sacrifices daily, whether deployed and apart from their family, being injured or worse, losing their own life. The sacrifices can last a life-time, as other’s lives go on.
Though nothing can replace sacrifices, we do our small part to serve in some meaningful manner – out of love, honor and respect.
They served us first, now it’s our turn to serve them.
What has Reveille done?
Reveille serves a variety of military heroes including the critically wounded, deployed and local military, and the families of those killed in action.
Many of the programs Reveille has developed include:
- Taking critically injured troops and their families to professional and college-level sporting events;
- Providing dinners and desserts to troops recovering in VA hospitals;
- Making holiday’s special for families of deployed and local troops and in the VA hospitals;
- Delivering flowers to Gold Star families (families that lost a loved one while serving our country) on Mothers’ Day, Memorial Day and the anniversary of when their loved one was killed in action.
Reveille’s goal is to make those it serves understand and believe they are appreciated and thanked. They deserve the highest honor. We wish to make our military veterans and their families feel like the heroes they are by serving them and loving then in Jesus' name. We recognize that each of us can serve and contribute to our veterans' welfare and needs in many ways, both large and small. Our passion is to honor every man and woman veteran that has served our country.
