After serving in youth ministry for over 12 years I decided to transfer my focus on providing students the opportunities to step out of their church walls and make an impact on the world around them. After working with YouthWorks and Adventures In Missions I decided to place more focus on the growing church of Bridgeway and it's efforts to make an impact within our community and abroad.
I worked with Adventures In Missions as a West Coast Regional Director from 2005-2009. I've served as youth pastor since the early/mid 90' and have ministered at various denominations.
My dad was a Children's Pastor for over 30 years. Growing up in a Christian home I was a Christian, so I thought. At the age of 14, I accepted Christ into my heart and even then, He was calling me into full time ministry. At the age of 21, God transformed my life - the way I thought, the way I acted, it was a first love experience...
During this time, I was working at NEC Electronics making great money. God was calling me to quit my job and get my degree in youth ministry. So I did. A few years later, I graduated from Trinity Life Bible College in Sacramento, California. I continued to serve as Youth pastor at Colfax church for the next 7 years before God called me into working with students with an emphasis on missions.
In 2003, I married Rachel, whom is the God-given gift to my life. We met serving with a missions organization and have grown to love short-term missions even more.
During the first couple years of our marriage, we served as Youth Pastors at some unhealthy churches. Burn out was arising and a change needed to happen. For the last 5 years while attending Bridgeway God has renewed our hearts and passion for young people, missions, and reaching out!
Bridgeway is a thriving church that is growing faster each year. We now have a full missions team to help with the church's efforts for outreach.
Rachel and I reside in Sacramento, California with our dog Jeneau and son Isaac.
