Alongside Ministries
Bridgeway Christian Church has partnered with Alongside Ministries to reach out to Sacramento's homeless. If you have a heart for the homeless, please join us anytime you can. We are also always in need of donations of food, clothing, and other items. There are bins out in the lobby at Bridgeway every week for your donations. Just look for our digital picture frame- where you can see pictures of the people you will be able to help- and the bins will be below it!
ACTIVITIES
The fourth Sunday of the month, rain or shine, we serve at Natomas Oak Park. We come to the park and have a picnic to share our lives with those that are homeless, serving food we would give our families to eat. We collect clothes and distribute them during the picnic.
We also have a very popular picture ministry. Alongside brings out our printer and our camera, takes pictures, and print them on the spot, no waiting. We bring out a small PA system and listen to Christian music, or have live bands come out and play worship.
The second Sunday of every month we have a team that serves at St. Vincent De Paul in Roseville California: It is a small kitchen but we serve with a big heart.
CURRENT DONATION NEEDS
1. Socks
2. Jackets
3. Sleeping bags
4. Tents (mostly 6 to 8 man tents)
5. First aid kits
6. Used cell phones (Metro PCS)
7. Large Print Bibles.
8. Foam Mats for sleeping on ground.
