ADVENT 2016

Our King is coming. Jesus Christ has come and he is coming again. This is the hope that is celebrated during the Advent season. Advent, from the Latin word meaning “arrival” or “coming” is all about Jesus. It is a time for His Church around the world to remember his first coming as a humble child in Bethlehem as we also eagerly await his second coming in glory.

This is a season of watching and waiting. It is a season for celebrating the faithfulness of our God, who 2000 years ago made good on his promise to send a Savior. It is a time for reflection, for the renewing of our minds, for setting aside the busyness and consumerism that so often overwhelm us during this season so that our souls might be stirred up with affection for our great King.

Please download the following .pdf document for your family to celebrate Advent this year!

THE CHRISTMAS CENTER

Bridgeway we need your help! We are aiming to fill our new Christmas Center with your generous Christmas gift donations for those who may be experiencing financial difficulties.

A portion of these gifts will also be used to provide gifts for our Prison Care ministry outreach.

Please bring an unwrapped gift (valued at $25 and appropriate for ages 2-18) to the Christmas Center table in the Main Lobby during any weekend service now through December 10th. For gift ideas please visit the Christmas Center Lobby table.

The Christmas Center is a collaborative service provided by Bridgeway Christian Church designed to partner with families, organizations and the community who may be experiencing financial difficulties by providing an opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts at an affordable price. Gifts are available to our guests at a significantly reduced rate (80% off retail value), which allows candidates to Christmas shop. This method offers families the opportunity to participate in the gift-giving part of Christmas by partnering with our guests with a hand-up instead of a hand-out. Bridgeway offers a shopping experience that does not come with the financial stress and burden so that children (18 and younger) can open gifts from their support systems, families and guardians on Christmas morning.

THE CHRISTMAS CENTER FAMILY REGISTRY

Every child deserves their own Christmas Story and Bridgeway Christian Church is inviting families that are in need or struggling this season to become a partner of The Christmas Center. By helping parents purchase affordable gifts during Christmas time, we hope to cultivate relationships with your family and help to ease the stress that comes with the expenses of Christmas. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and experience the freedom of His free gift!

Our Christmas Center will be open the first two weekends of December.

If your family is in need this season, CLICK HERE to register online to shop at the Christmas Center.

THE PATH - WINTER SESSION REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

The Path is a ten-week discipleship experience. It is a personal journey - one that will deepen your connection with God and His Church while helping you discover your part in the grand story God is writing. The Path isn’t just about learning information - it is an opportunity for transformation as you gather around tables and participate in experiences that allow you to ask questions and explore together how God has wired you to participate in His Kingdom.
This winter The Path will be offered on Wednesday evenings starting January 18th. The Path will also be offered in the winter and the spring, and we want everyone who calls Bridgeway home to experience it.
The Path is the way to get connected at Bridgeway while deepening your walk with God.
CONSISTENT ATTENDANCE AT THE PATH IS VERY IMPORTANT
The richness of the class is found in the small group environments and that richness will only develop if group members are consistent in their attendance. Please plan to attend all ten sessions and the two extra experience sessions.
If you are going to miss more than two sessions please wait to sign up for The Path another time.
