Overview
: Take your prayer life from ordinary to extraordinary! Many people are discouraged with prayer. Instead of a genuine encounter with God, prayer is little more than a grocery list of requests. Maybe you, too, find yourself seeking God’s hand rather than His face. How can we truly connect with God through prayer?"  Renewal leader and pastor Daniel Henderson shows how to “overcome common barriers to praying effectively” through his new book, Transforming Prayer. Join us for this five week study as we awaken our prayer lives with simple, biblical patterns of prayer, and enjoy Spirit-led prayer sparked by Scripture passages. When you experience the profound difference of worship-based prayer, your faith and life will never be the same.

Stuck to Unstuck: Greenlighting Your Spiritual Life with God
Overview: This four-week class is designed to help participants find freedom from their negative history or their choices in life that make them unable to move forward, especially because of guilt or slavery to habits. It will focus on the quandary of Romans 7, where a believer feels unable to escape habitual sins and is strangled by self loathing, and provide suggested ways to move into the spiritual victory of Romans 8 where they are experiencing God’s love and live as more than conquerors. The class also helps the participants identify other external and internal influences that hold them back from personal progress, or that renders the potential benefits of intimacy with Jesus inaccessible and out of reach.
Who should take this class: This class is intended for all ages, but especially for those who have been believers for a while yet have not made the personal progress they expected. It is a class designed for personal reflection and transparency. All are welcome no matter where you are in your journey of faith.
Homework Expectations: Each week there will be reading, handouts with questions, and/or interaction points to discuss with an accountability partner.
Required Materials/Costs: Bring your Bible. There is no cost for this class.

Weaker to Stronger: Deepening Your Walk with God
Overview: This class is about freshening your intimacy with Jesus using realistic and do-able steps. It is an approach to spiritual disciplines without the steroids; depth without becoming a submarine. This class will challenge followers of Christ on their inward journey of removing barriers that hinder from connecting with God and enjoying Him. Many people view the ideal of Christian practice as a series of rigorous and boring tasks done to keep guilt away and maybe keep God satisfied. This class will encourage exploring the color and vitality that God wants us to experience as we connect with Him in a richer way. The format will include short lecture, long interactive discussion, and Q & A. Students will share their own experiences, both happy and not, as well as their own insights toward enrichment. There are basic elements to a spiritual vitality that help keep a life in balance and intimate connection to Jesus. Don’t look for ultimate secrets or extreme tricks, just the basics that solidify a spiritual journey.
Who should take this class: This class is designed especially for believers who have passed the basic aspects of the faith and are looking for new discovery and richness. Couples or individuals are welcome, young or old.
Homework Expectations: Each week will have assigned reading (two chapters a week in the book we’ll be using), some take home Bible study exercises, as well as self-tests or other exercises.
Required Materials/Costs: The Life You've Always Wanted: Spiritual Disciplines for Ordinary People, by John Ortberg (ISBN: 0310246954). A limited number of books will be available to purchase at the beginning of class, or you can order your own copy. Bring your bible, notebook and pen.
