New Life in Christ – Beginning the Journey of Grace for the New Believer is a six week class designed to help new followers of Jesus grow in their faith along the journey of grace. This class will be taught by Cliff Appleby (see more about Cliff, below). As we study God’s Word together, we will encounter awesome portraitures of God, humbling reflections of ourselves, astounding images of Jesus’ life, and amazing truths about the Cross.
When: Sundays 9:00-10:30am - February 21st through March 28th
*Feel free to join this class even though it's already started.
Where: Bridgeway Annex (the youth room in our old building across the back parking lot)
Who: Although this class is geared for those who are new believers, it would also benefit those who have been Christians for a while but have never had a foundational class like this. If you are still seeking and are not sure what you believe, you would also find this class helpful. Also, if you are a mature believer who would like some tools for helping guide those new in the faith, this class would be a great resource for you.
What: Topics include: What happened at the Cross? Who am I in Christ? Why do I still struggle with sin? How do I grow as a follower of Christ? How can I know God better? What place does the Bible have in my life? Each week there will be a time of teaching, sharing and reflection on the truths of God’s Word that will help us grow in our walk with Jesus.
Childcare Available?: Yes, the full Kidsway Children's Program is available at church during this class. Come early to check in your children to Kidsway and then come over to the Annex for the class.

About the Instructor: Cliff Appleby graduated from Western Seminary (Th.M) and has many experiences preaching and teaching the Bible in churches and on the university level. He is the editor of The Illustrated New Testament. His journey as a Christian has been marked with times of joy and times of struggles, yet always overshadowed by God’s grace. He enjoys running, photography, watching hawks fly along the American River, and going on walks with Tricia (his wife of 38 years). They like to spend time with their four adult children (and their families), especially their granddaughter.

New Life in Christ is the first in a series of new classes that are part of our Blueprints for Growth: a church-wide strategy for making disciples at Bridgeway. In the coming weeks, we will launch a number of classes designed to help us get better grounded in our walks with the Lord and get a better grasp of the Bible. We have assembled an array of gifted teachers who are passionate about what they are teaching. More detailed information will be available on the Bridgeway web site in the coming days.
