21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership

What is it?

Learning the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership allows you to get a good handle on transforming your sphere of influence. So you say, I am not a business man, nor am I a manager at the place I work, so why would this apply to me? As a member of the church we are tasked with exercising our God given gifts. We read in 1 Corinthians 12 what these Spiritual Gifts are. Then in 1 Corinthians 14:12 Paul writes: “So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church.” Being teachable, and to continuously strive to become better in the practical applications of Christian living as good leadership exemplifies, is part of God’s will.

The first step in participating in the body is to understand what are one’s spiritual gifts. The second would be to dive in, get connected, and start working in the areas of your giftedness. Although this course would benefit all persons working with people, it is specifically designed for those who find their gifts to be in the areas of relationship building, coordinating group activities, volunteering in group settings, witnessing to prospective believers, and, last but not least, building effective connections with people.

Through the course, you will learn the 21 natural laws involved with leading and influencing people. The course is facilitated by using John C. Maxwell’s curriculum. It utilizes his lessons recorded on DVD in conjunction with Scripture studies that illustrate the laws in action.

By incorporating these laws into your life, you are certain to transform the quality of your leadership. Remember, that no one excels in all 21 laws. The goal is to surround yourself with key members who are strong in areas where you are not. This training allows you to recognize what laws are your strengths and provides steps to increase those skills. As you develop your people, you will begin to see a positive impact on your whole sphere of influence. Materials Needed

The primary resource we will use is the Bible and the notes and lessons that Maxwell has written. You will therefore be required to obtain a copy of The Maxwell Leadership Bible.

Session/Program

The group will meet Saturday Mornings from 8:00-9:30AM every other Saturday starting January 16th. The agenda will be as follows:

7:45  Doors open – come early to meet and greet and get your seat

8:00  Session begins

8:00 – 8:10 Welcome message, opening prayer, and lay out agenda for day.

8:10 – 8:30 John Maxwell’s lesson on DVD – Lesson of the Day.

8:30 – 9:00 Break up in groups of six, go over lesson in Bible facilitated by group leader(s), read Scriptures, and discuss material.

9:00 – 9:20 Gather groups and review material highlights, commentary.

9:20 – 9:30 Sum up discussions and close in prayer.

9:30  Session dismissed.
